Tomorrow, Make the Road by Walking and the Association for Neighborhood and Housing Development will hold a joint rally outside of 61 Harman Street in Brooklyn to protest the treatment of a lesbian couple living at the building at the hands of their landlord.

The protesters allege that the landlord has employed a number of tactics to push the tenants out, including verbal harassment, shouting anti-gay slurs, threats of gang violence, unlawful police entry into the apartment and denying them heat and hot water.

The rally will further call on the City Council to pass new regulations protecting tenants from such treatment. The tenants have vowed to fight their landlord.
