🏠Join me in the fight for housing justice!

In 2014, when my landlord removed our building’s boiler, I turned to Make the Road NY for support. After I got heat and hot water back, I stayed involved with MRNY, organizing to demand more accountability from landlords, protect tenants from harassment, and improve housing conditions in New York.

I’ve been in this work for nearly a decade as a member and now a board member, securing landmark wins such as legislation to remove lead paint from buildings and the Asthma-Free Housing Act.

Will you support this organizing work with a gift today?

In Make the Road NY’s 25 years, we’ve achieved important wins for tenants, but tenants and unhoused New Yorkers still face enormous injustices. Tenants in unregulated apartments are afraid to speak up against landlord harassment and neglect and over 90,000 New Yorkers don’t have a place to call home.

We need urgent action from elected leaders to address exorbitant rent hikes, harassment, and growing homelessness. We are fighting for Good Cause Eviction so that New Yorkers can have basic protections against rent increases and the housing access voucher program for the thousands who lack housing, and for whom good cause eviction protections might come too late.

For 25 years, members of Make the Road NY have been leading our campaigns, and your generosity has sustained these fights.

Your year-end gift today will support our organizing in 2023 and beyond, as we work to build a city and state where all of us can thrive.
