As we continue to fight for the inclusion of the most vulnerable New Yorkers in the state budget, we are excited to share our 2022 New York City Policy Platform.

To reverse inequities and expand opportunities for all New Yorkers, we need bold action from city and state leaders alike. In New York City our members’ top priorities include:

• Investing in our communities who need deeply affordable housing, increased worker protections and school funding;
• Protecting immigrant New Yorkers against deportation, ensuring they receive access to counsel once detained;
• Strengthening workers’ rights by ensuring all workers in low-wage industries can’t be fired without “just cause”;
• Removing police from schools and disbanding the NYPD Vice Unit, and redistributing those resources to harm reduction and youth services;
• Ensuring education and health equity by funding adult literacy and expanding access to healthcare; and more!
