My name is Luba and I led Make the Road NY’s work to respond to immigration raids and deportations through the first Trump administration.

The threats they have made against us are worse than before – everything from mass deportation carried out by the military, to an end to birthright citizenship. It’s terrifying and there is a lot of uncertainty ahead, but what we know is that we’ll use every tool available to protect our people and we’ll need your help. Since 2017 we’ve developed systems to respond to raids, a robust deportation defense manual, Know Your Rights Trainings and well practiced legal strategies to stop deportations and keep families together.
