As we get closer to the fall, many students in New York will begin a new school year. Students in our communities need new supplies every year, but this year the need is even greater. We are significantly increasing the number of backpacks and supplies we distribute in order to support newly arrived asylum-seekers, the vast majority of whom are still living in shelters and have not been able to work, as they prepare their kids for the school year.
