Last week, our fierce members returned to Albany to demand that immigrant, Black, and brown communities be included in the state budget.
Their message to Gov. Hochul and legislative leaders: real safety means investing in our communities.
From calling for Coverage for All legislation to expand immigrants’ access to health care to demanding an Unemployment Bridge Program to ensure all New Yorkers can access unemployment benefits to standing up for permanent Good Cause protections for all tenants to stop excessive rent increases and keep people in their homes, our members’ voices echoed across the Capitol urging legislative leaders support their full list of priorities laid out in our Respect and Dignity for All 2023-24 State Policy Platform.
After watching our video centering the voices of our members, please share their stories across social media platforms to show your support for our legislative fights, and make sure the Governor and legislative leaders see and hear our demands.
Thank you for being with us in the fight!
