Election Day for the June Primary is finally here!
If you haven’t already voted, today is the day to go to the polls and vote for respect and dignity for all.
Tens of thousands of voters in New York City have already cast their ballots during the early voting period. If you didn’t get a chance yet, today is the day to join them! Make your way to the polls to vote in person or drop off your absentee ballot to stand up for New York’s immigrant, Black, and brown communities!
In this June primary election, New York City voters will decide to vote for offices like City Council and judicial positions. If you’re not sure who is on the ballot, check out Who’s On The Ballot now to find out.
And remember, New York City uses Ranked Choice Voting in primary elections for city offices. With Ranked Choice Voting, you can rank up to five candidates in order of preference instead of choosing just one. Learn more about Ranked Choice Voting.
Make sure you have a plan to vote today! There are several factors you’ll want to pay attention to when creating your Election Day plan:
- WHERE is your local polling location? Find it in New York City.
- HOW will you arrive at your local polling site? Will you walk, bike, take the bus, or drive?
- WHEN will you vote? Schedule ahead of time to avoid time conflicts. Polls are open from 6 AM to 9 PM!
