We’re gathering every bit of strength for the year ahead. Will you donate in solidarity with immigrant and working-class communities? With your help, we’ll raise $2 million ahead of inauguration to protect our futures.
We are preparing to respond to the many threats that have been made against our communities. In the new year, we will fight to strengthen state and local protections to prevent mass deportations and for a more affordable and caring New York for all. Make the Road New York is a political home for 28,000 immigrant and working-class members. Our power to win on the city and state level comes from members like Raiza who bravely lead this work each day.
Raiza arrived here in 2023 seeking asylum with her family. As a newly arrived New Yorker she is already an active member of Make the Road NY, contributing to our campaigns for dignity and justice.
Raiza speaks to the power of organizing in community with other Make the Road NY members, “When we all say ¡Sí se puede!, I feel power, and even more when we all collectively say it. It’s something that motivates you to keep on going, so for me, it is powerful to be able to say ¡Sí se puede!”
The President-elect’s anti-immigrant and anti-worker policies pose disastrous threats to millions of families. But we’re ready to defend our communities, organize, and grow our strength.
With gratitude,
– Jose Lopez, Co-Executive Director
