Our new permanent home in Queens!

We are excited to announce that construction is well underway on Make the Road New York’s permanent home in Corona, Queens — a place of safety and strength that says We are Here to Stay.

Opening in 2022, this landmark community center will stand as a statewide beacon of hope and power for current and future generations of immigrants and working class people of color. It will expand our frontline services, and enable our impact to grow as we advocate for justice in New York and beyond.

Given our steady growth, we have been operating in severely over-crowded offices with rent going up every year. The 24,000 square-foot, three-story building will more than double our space for programs, and provide for long-term financial sustainability. It will include a large central gathering space, more classrooms, a commercial kitchen, dedicated childcare space, private legal and health offices, and green space.

It will replace two rented offices in Queens, and join our other vibrant community centers in Brooklyn, Long Island, Staten Island, and Westchester.

Help us make this dream a reality — become part of this extraordinary milestone today.

This new home will be a place where we all belong, and our work and our members will thrive as never before. We look forward to welcoming you to the new center next year!
