A pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants is within reach after both the House and Senate passed a budget resolution that includes over $100 billion for immigration.
Now, after leading his conference to pass the first resolution, we need Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to take the next step and deliver a final budget that includes a pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients, TPS holders, farmworkers and essential workers. We also need Senator Schumer to hold the line on any anti-immigrant provisions that criminalize immigrants.
Will you help support our organizing efforts in New York? We need to keep up the pressure until we win!
Last week, our members gathered at Grand Army Plaza, as we projected the images of undocumented Make the Road NY members and their loved ones (See photos below). Our message to Senator Schumer and Congress: immigrants are essential, and we are here to stay.
71 percent of New Yorkers support a pathway to citizenship for undocumented youth, essential workers, and people who cannot safely return to their country of origin.
Donate today to help make citizenship for millions of immigrants a reality this year!
Congress has a critical window to deliver a truly inclusive recovery for the country that includes a long-awaited pathway to citizenship to millions of undocumented immigrants, and we are more hopeful than ever.
¡Sí se puede!
