As we approach one of the most important presidential elections of our lifetimes, Make the Road NY’s community members, staff, and partners have been tirelessly working to put the final touches on our new community center, a beacon of light and hope in the heart of immigrant Queens.
Our new community center will catalyze our ability to defend and advance the rights of BIPOC youth, working-class immigrant families, and TGNCIQ+ (transgender, gender non-conforming, intersex, and queer) community members.
We are just months away from completing construction!
This 24,000-square-foot, multi-story building will enable us to expand our critical health, legal, and education services to even more families, and it will provide the space for hundreds to organize, learn about their rights, and build collective power.
This permanent new home is a testament to our community’s strength and power, and it will stand as a beacon of hope to immigrant and working class families for generations to come.
We’ve extended our deadline – support our new Queens center today! If you haven’t contributed to our capital project yet – or if you’d like to increase your support and be recognized in the building, time is running out!
Donors who contribute $500 or more will have the option to be permanently recognized in the new building, with gifts of $5,000+ featured more prominently.
We can’t wait to welcome you when we open our doors! Thank you for being with us for this historic milestone.
– Jose Lopez, Arlenis Morel, and Theo Oshiro, Co-Executive Directors
