For the last 14 years, a rented, one-story former Blockbuster video store on Roosevelt Avenue (top right) has been the site of our community center in Jackson Heights, Queens. While we’ve served thousands of members and clients each year, it’s required creativity, renting additional spaces, and limiting our growth.

By the end of the year, construction is slated to be completed on our very own building 10 blocks away in Corona, Queens.

It will more than double our space for programming with three stories and 24,000 square feet of classrooms, private offices for legal and health consultations, large versatile rooms for organizing and know-your-rights trainings, and so much more!

We’ve been working towards this historic milestone for years. This center will be a beacon of hope and a place of safety and strength for all New Yorkers for generations to come.

We’re proud and thrilled that we’ve raised 95% of the budget for our new landmark center. But we need your help in this final stretch.

If you haven’t yet made a gift, will you make a special one-time donation today? Gifts of $500 and above will have the option to be recognized in the new building, with larger gifts featured prominently.

Thank you so much for your consideration and support.

¡Si se puede!
