Tomorrow is #GivingTuesdayNow, a new global day of giving in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
The generosity of donors who have contributed to our COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund has enabled us to provide direct cash support to thousands of families across NY.
We have already provided critical cash aid to over 16,000 individuals through our Emergency Fund to pay for groceries and other basic needs. Thank you to all who have donated. These emergency funds are critical for families while we work for state and federal assistance for the total community of 530,000 undocumented New Yorkers who have been some of the most impacted by this crisis.
Over the last two months we have been moved by support from generous donors: furloughed workers donating what they can; first time donors in Queens supporting their neighbors; and individuals donating all or part of their stimulus checks to those who didn’t receive one.
We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of people throughout New York, from across all 50 states and Puerto Rico, and from as far away as Hong Kong.
If you haven’t donated yet, please join them by donating what you can.
If you’ve already donated, thank you again. We hope you’ll take a moment to forward this to friends and family who may be moved to help as well.
Every donation is meaningful, and will enable us to provide direct support to those who need it.
Thank you for being by our side during this crisis. Together, we will get through this.
In Solidarity,
