We are community and labor organizations across Long Island who represent tens of thousands of working-class New Yorkers and care deeply about making sure that every Long Islander is counted in the upcoming decennial census. We write to urge you to reject the reckless request by the Department of Justice to add a new citizenship question to the 2020 Census.
