The Coalition for Adult Literacy, of which Make the Road by Walking is a founding member, will raise awareness about adult education programs in New York City and State, and rally Mayor Bloomberg’s administration and City Council to include higher funding levels in the city budget for adult education programs like ours. This event will be a chance for students and potential students to voice their concerns and needs to high-level city officials, the media, and the public.
