On Saturday March 5th, close to 1,000 low-income and working class New Yorkers from Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island came together for MRNY’s Third Annual Community Assembly.

The spirited crowd chanted and cheered as MRNY leaders Olga Reyes and Jose Rosales led a program that featured MRNY leaders and highlighted MRNY’s 2011 policy priorities.

Many elected officials and allies came out to hear from our members, support our campaigns, and commit to taking action to achieve our shared goals of creating a more equitable New York State. Click the links below to see our top officials pledge their support:

Throughout the day, we witnessed inspiring performances by singers and MRNY’s very own theater troupe, representing the creativity and the cultural diversity of MRNY’s membership base.
