On Wednesday, City Council is holding another hearing to look into whether this bad deal will benefit New Yorkers. Amazon has been spreading lies and making empty promises but the reality is Amazon in NYC will further gentrify Queens and add more stress to our failing infrastructure.
At a time when our communities need and deserve more public resources in order to thrive, we refuse to give our dollars to a company whose working conditions frequently put workers’ lives in danger and that works with ICE to target immigrant communities.
