On January 23rd, Jews, immigrants, & our allies are mobilizing to shine a light on the pillars of our immigration system. In the morning, we will join New Sanctuary Coalition at Foley Square to rally in solidarity with Immigration Rights activist Ravi Ragbir as he attends his check-in with ICE (Join us! https://www.facebook.com/events/762577097553528/).
In the afternoon, we will take Ravi’s story directly to Amazon’s doorstep. We will force the company to listen to our voices and answer for its role powering ICE’s brutal surveillance, detentions, and deportations.
While Amazon prefers to be known as an e-commerce company, its web hosting subsidiary, Amazon Web Services (AWS), helps enable mass suffering of immigrants. By hosting ICE databases and powering programs that track immigrants and reveal their whereabouts, AWS is complicit in ICE’s inhumane system.
Just as IBM sold tech to the Nazi regime, Amazon sells tech to ICE. We refuse be silent in the face of the company’s collaboration with Trump’s deportation machine.
Join us as we declare #NeverAgainisNow and demand that Amazon end its relationship with DHS. #NoTechforICE.
