Riders will be invited to join a Mobile Action Network to stay informed
and engaged about immigrants’ rights issues in New York City and the
Nation

WHAT: Last November,
President Obama’s campaign showed the power of new technology to build
a strong network of supporters. Now, Make the Road New York — along
with many other groups across the city, state, and country — are
joining together to create our own mobile action network to share
information with immigration rights supporters in real time.
Members of Make the Road New York will conduct outreach at several busy
subway stations along the 7 train route during the morning rush-hour in
Queens. They aim to subscribe thousands of individuals to our new,
mobile action network, which will capitalize on the popularity of cell
phone technology to unite New Yorkers in the fight for immigration
reform.

WHEN: Thursday May 28, 2009

8-11 am: Members will be at the following stops along the 7-train on Roosevelt Avenue signing people up to join the network:

74th St; 82nd; 90th; and Junction Blvd.

11am: Press conference to announce new mobile action network at 90th St.
