Volunteer Opportunities
Empower Immigrant Communities, Become a Volunteer!
Make the Road NY was born out of a belief in the power that individuals have to transform our communities collectively.
We believe that those most impacted by poverty and injustice must play key roles in devising solutions to community problems, and that community members must be elevated and empowered to effect real change.
At Make the Road NY (MRNY), community members volunteer daily to support our organizing, education, health and legal services programs as well as our admin and operations teams.
Some volunteers make phone calls or help to prepare a meal, others support adult literacy students to develop English skills or pass their citizenship exams, and others still provide key support with administrative work, outreach, community education or civic engagement activities.
Learn how you can support MRNY as a volunteer by filling out this form.
