Several support groups teamed up to document the struggles asylum seekers face.
They published a new survey that included input from almost 600 migrants. Many recorded they had trouble finding steady work, getting legal representation in immigration court and finding stable housing.
The deputy director of Make The Road New York, one of the support groups involved in the survey, says they’re calling on the city to take action to further help these individuals.
They’re calling for increased access to services that will help people live comfortably in our city.
