Parents [including parents from Make the Road New York] opposed to the movie “Won’t Back Down” protested along their own red carpet outside the Ziegfeld Theatre Sunday night. 

The demonstrators say the movie blames teachers’ unions for the problems facing struggling schools. 

The protesters say charters schools are not the answer for every parent and child. They’re calling on corporations to invest in struggling schools instead of charters school.
