Students Lobby For Passage Of New York DREAM Act

About a hundred students are heading up to the state capital today to advocate for the DREAM Act.

The students, along with advocacy group Make the Road New York, spent the day Monday making T-shirts, food packages and legislative packets.

They group will meet with Albany legislators to push for the New York DREAM Act and DREAM Fund.

The bill would extend financial aid and other educational services to undocumented students.

Those students would also be able to apply for state IDs and drivers licenses.
