#PoliceFreeSchools are possible. Help us win this fight!

We are in the fight of our lives.

The New York City budget must be finalized by the end of the month. With the June 30th deadline less than a week away, we are putting our full power into ensuring that any budget that passes includes AT LEAST $1 billion in cuts from the NYPD and the full removal of police from our schools.

Call your city council member now, and daily, to make your support for these demands clear.

Over the weekend, we partnered with the Urban Youth Collaborative (UYC) and youth leaders across the city to take our message to the sky.

And yesterday, our youth and the rest of UYC brought that message to Tweed Courthouse, home of the NYC Department of Education.

This action took place around the corner from City Hall where our friends at VOCAL-NY and New York Communities for Change have been holding an occupation all week. We projected our support for this action, and our demands to #DefundNYPD and for #PoliceFreeSchools on the wall near the occupation.

Together with partners and allies across the city, we are making our demands absolutely clear. We will not settle for less than $1 billion in cuts and the full removal of police from schools and we need those resources invested in our young people, our schools, our public health and housing. Call your city council member now to add your support.

As we approach the final days before the budget is passed, thank you for your support.

Together, we will win.

In solidarity,
