Last week was hard. I hugged my kids, cried a little bit, checked in with my family and loved ones—and then I got to work doing what I know best, organizing. Because our futures are worth protecting.
Just hours after the election was called, members were in our Make the Road New York offices calling thousands of their neighbors to join us for a march to show those in power that we will fight back against racist, anti-trans, and anti-immigrant policies. And on Saturday New Yorkers showed up. We shut down Sixth Avenue with over five thousand people, loudly proclaiming that we will defend our community and protect our freedoms and families.
Our members are fired up. Our lawyers are preparing litigation tactics, our rapid response teams are educating people on workplace raids, and our advocates are strategizing on how to pass laws right here in New York that will protect the most vulnerable. But we need your help.
Will you donate $30 or more today to make sure that we can continue defending our community?
So yes, last week was hard. But above all, I was reminded that together, we can do incredible things. Thanks for joining us.
