FIRST-EVER BUSHWICK GAY PRIDE MARCH!

SCORES OF LGBT COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND ALLIES TO MARCH

Holding Signs in English and Spanish that Declare "We don’t only live in Park Slope and the Village!" and "Queer, Latino, Catholic and Proud!" and Chanting in English and Spanish  March to honor recent victims of hate crimes including Kevin Aviance and Dwan Prince, beaten into a coma last year during Pride Month  

WHAT:  

First-ever Pride March in Central Brooklyn

WHO:

GLOBE (Gays and Lesbians of Bushwick Empowered), a project of Make the Road by Walking

Mostly Latino and African-American LGBT community members and allies from Central Brooklyn, Bushwick, Brownsville, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Queens

WHEN: 

Saturday, June 17th, 1:15 pm. Followed by a BBQ attended by community residents and allies

WHERE: 

301 Grove Street. Make the Road by Walking (bet. Myrtle and Knickerbocker Aves.) L / M train to Myrtle Ave.
