OVER 100 LATINO IMMIGRANTS TO CONDEMN SENATOR CLINTON FOR HER SUPPORT OF EXPENSIVE AND INEFFECTIVE BORDER WALL

  For Immediate Release

Chanting, costumed immigrant families to tell Senator Clinton that her position on immigration reform is Halloween-level "scary," bad for her constituents, and politically opportunistic

Protesters to call for a path to citizenship for millions of undocumented workers, instead of costly, ineffective border walls that serve to vilify immigrants from Latin America. Protesters will call attention to immigrants’ contribution to New York’s and the United States’ economy, and Senator Clinton’s previous support for a comprehensive approach to immigration reform

WHAT:

     • Dressed in Halloween costumes, and bearing a Halloween card for Senator Clinton, immigrant New Yorkers and their allies will confront Senator Clinton on her recent anti-immigrant support for hundreds of miles of high tech fencing along the U.S. border with Mexico.

     • Protesters will condemn Senator Clinton’s support for this election year boondoggle and call on her to support a smart and humane immigration reform policy

WHO:

The protest and press conference is being organized by Make the Road by Walking, a grassroots membership organization of thousands of immigrants and non-immigrants from Latin America living in New York City.

WHEN:

Tuesday, October 31st, Noon

WHERE:

In front of Senator Clinton’s Manhattan District Office, 780 Third Avenue at 48th Street in Manhattan.
