Poor Housing is Studied

New Yorkers who don’t speak English are most likely to face poor housing conditions – and least likely to report violations, according to a new study.

So-called linguistically isolated households – those with no one older than 14 who speaks English – are far less likely than English-speaking families to file complaints, according to a report by Communities for Housing Equity (Make the Road by Walking is a founding member).
